Who We Are
The International Diaspora Union (IDU) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization incorporated under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (CNCA). While headquartered in Canada, IDU operates globally through a diverse network of national and regional chapters spanning all continents.
IDU recognizes diaspora communities as strategic partners in peacebuilding, sustainable development, innovation, and cultural exchange. We collaborate across borders to amplify voices, mobilize resources, and foster inclusive progress—bridging diverse talents and perspectives to address global challenges and opportunities. We work closely with diplomatic missions, foreign organizations, and international partners to support diaspora communities worldwide, advance peace and development agendas, and strengthen cross-border cooperation.
